The New Orleans Times-Picayune suggests that Pierre Thomas could be the Saints' "answer" at running back in 2008 after surpassing 100+ yards rushing & receiving vs. Chicago in the season finale.
Fantasy Take:
This seems a bit far fetched given the team's investment in Deuce McAllister & Reggie Bush, but Thomas' strong performance in Week 17 has given New Orleans options. He was the first Saint to ever amass both 100 yards receiving and rushing in the same game. If Deuce McAllister (knee)...

The New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush isn't ready to give up hope of returning this season. With New Orleans still in the running for an NFC wild-card playoff berth, Bush said Wednesday that his injured left knee might be healthy enough for him to play again before the Saints pack up for the...
Fantasy Take:
Fantasy leaguers can write off Bush for '07.

ESPN and the New Orleans Times-Picayune both report that RB Reggie Bush won't play again this year because of a partially torn PCL. Dr. James Andrews confirmed the injury and likely told Bush that shutting it down was in his best interest. "It's been a very bad knee for about four...
Fantasy Take:
It's uncertain whether the Saints will place Bush on injured reserve, it will depend on Bush' ability to play thru the pain. However following Aaron Stecker's 100 yards on 22 carries tonight vs. Atlanta, the Saints may head into the final three games of their season using Stecker in...

New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush has been downgraded to "out" for Monday night. Bush will be in Alabama for a second opinion on his torn PCL. Dr. James Andrews will perform a personal exam of Bush's knee and potentially take another MRI.
Fantasy Take:
Bush is not expected to require surgery, but Andrews will likely tell him whether it's safe for him to resume playing down the stretch. At this point in the season the Saints will likely shut Bush down to protect the rest of his career.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Reggie Bush could miss the Saints' final four games due to a torn ligament in his knee.
Fantasy Take:
Mort says Bush has already been diagnosed with the injury. We'll need to find out more and should shortly. Don't rush to drop Bush in fantasy leagues, but Aaron Stecker and Pierre Thomas would take over New Orleans' backfield if this news is true.

New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush rushed seven times for 17 yards and touchdown and caught five passes for 27 yards in a Week 10 loss to St. Louis. Bush missed a few plays after taking a hard hit in the fourth quarter, but was able to return and finish the contest.
Fantasy Take:
Last year's No. 2 overall pick still hasn't rushed for 100+ yards in a game this season, but has scored three touchdowns in his last four games and has 55 catches on the year. He remains a must start in all but the shallowest of leagues but he's not developed into the top 10 guy many...

New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush sustained what is being called "slightly bruised" ribs during the team's Week 8 game. The injury is not believed to be serious at this time. "He's fine," head coach Sean Payton said. "He had bruised ribs, and it wasn't...
Fantasy Take:
Bush is getting the opportunity to carry the load and the Saints offense is finally coming around, meaning Reggie could be inline to light up a couple games in the weeks ahead. This injury doesn't sound like anything to worry about...

Despite having a touchdown vultured by FB Mike Karney in Week 5, coach Sean Payton says he has faith in Reggie Bush's ability on the goal line. Coach Sean Payton says Karney only got the ball Sunday due to matchup purposes. "Reggie carried it pretty well in the short-yardage and goal...
Fantasy Take:
Reggie Bush will be a fantasy stud this year when everything is said and done (IMO). Lance Moore is a long shot but the Saints will have good days thru the air, especially with their subpar defense, so remember that name.

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton said Monday that the team will use a rotation at the receiver position opposite Marques Colston moving forward. Devery Henderson had a big drop in Sunday's loss and may have lost his starting job to Lance Moore. David Patten, Terrance Copper, and...
Fantasy Take:
At this point Colston & Reggie Bush maybe the only viable starters in fantasy leagues with Drew Brees a mediocre number two fantasy quarterback.

Saints coach Sean Payton indicated Wednesday that Reggie Bush will become the team's primary back with Deuce McAllister on injured reserve. It doesn't sound like Aaron Stecker will be the go-to back, as a few have oddly predicted. "Reggie will get more carries," Payton said....
Fantasy Take:
Bush's fantasy value will rise some b/c he'll get plenty of goal line opportunities, and once the Saints offense gets on track (we hope) he will see those red zone touches increase as well. He's a very good number two (RB2+) option right now w/ potential to be even better.
