St. Louis Rams fullback Brian Leonard is now completely healthy following off-season surgeries on both shoulders and is expected to fully participate in the team's OTA's. He has also added nine pounds of muscle during the off-season and is up to a playing weight of 235 pounds
Fantasy Take:
Leonard is a versatile back who is expected to be a change of pace type of guy in the team's offense. His fantasy value is limited but he could surprise with an improved line & healthy Marc Bulger.

The Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter says the team is working to "improve (David Garrard) as a deep-ball thrower" this offseason. Koetter's background is with the vertical passing game. The Jags feel Jerry Porter can increase their downfield productivity....
Fantasy Take:
Jacksonville will likely remain a run-first team, but taking more shots could open some running lanes and lead to a more explosive overall offense.
Garrard is a low end starting fantasy QB with limited upside to break the top 5. He's a great backup or #2 fantasy QB heading into...

Free agent QB Daunte Culpepper has reportedly been in contact with a "handful of teams," but isn't close to signing a contract. Culpepper, 31, is now two years removed from his series of knee surgeries, he sports a winning overall record as a starter, a career passing rating of 89.9...
Fantasy Take:
Culpepper will find a home, likely as a backup, but could be a fantasy sleeper in the right situation. He's a TD machine (he has produced 175 TD's in 90 career starts) who is as healthy can be and still in the prime of his career.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Oakland Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell "looks slim" at the first day of media access to OTAs. Russell says he's at 269 pounds, and was never close to the reported 300 pounds that offseason rumors had him weighing. Last year's No. 1 overall...
Fantasy Take:
What matters most is Russel's conditioning and physical strength, if both of those are good, then its great that he's nearly 270 pounds.
LaMont Jordan likely will be released in the next month or so as the Raiders have too much depth at the position.

The New York Jets' organization is "clearly pulling" for Kellen Clemens to win the starting quarterback job, according to the New York Post. However veteran QB Chad Pennington ran the first-team offense as the Jets opened Organized Team Activities on Thursday. Pennington was chosen...
Fantasy Take:
Clemens has the stronger arm, is more athletic, and can establish himself as a franchise QB with a strong year, but there won't be a clear favorite when camp opens. That said if the competition is even, they'll likely go with the higher upside in Clemens.

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady, speaking on WEEI, intimated that he doesn't respect the Jets. Brady was talking about how he could accept losing to the Giants because he respected them so much. Then a follow up question was asked about what teams he didn't respect, "There's...
Fantasy Take:
Something tells us this quote is going to get some play before the Patriots-Jets Week 2 matchup, and can do nothing but hurt Brady.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Earnest Graham remains a no-show for voluntary OTAs.
Graham, like disgruntled quarterback Jeff Garcia, is seeking a contract extension. Coming off a career year, Graham seems to want to cash in with a new contract.
Fantasy Take:
Graham has only carried the ball for a single year, so Bucs management probably wants to see him do it one more year.

Tampa Bay's starting QB Jeff Garcia suggested Tuesday that he may stage a holdout of the Bucs don't meet his contract demands. "There might come a time when I might have to stand up," Garcia said. "At some point you just want to see the respect from up top." Garcia, 38,...
Fantasy Take:
Garcia would be the lowest paid starter in the NFL but he's also 38 years old. If this holdout becomes serious expect veteran Brian Griese to get the nod at QB but its highly unlikely to reach that point.

The Atlanta Falcons QB D.J. Shockley (ACL surgery) was limited to one-on-one drills at the opening of post-draft minicamps Monday. "They still try to keep me out of the team work just in case anyone was to fall on my leg," he said.
Fantasy Take:
Shockley is competing against Joey Harrington to be Atlanta's No. 3 QB. He has a cheaper salary working in his favor but Harrington has the most experienced of the QB's on the roster.

The Houston Texans starting quarterback Matt Schaub, who underwent surgery on his left shoulder, will participate in drills in this weekend's mini-camp. Guard Charles Spencer will participate in individual drills but not team drills. "At this point, I don't want other guys around...
Fantasy Take:
Schaub is the undisputed starting QB in Houston but the Texans feel comfortable with backup Sage Rosenfels who played as well or better than him when he was out last year.
