St. Louis Rams fullback Brian Leonard is now completely healthy following off-season surgeries on both shoulders and is expected to fully participate in the team's OTA's. He has also added nine pounds of muscle during the off-season and is up to a playing weight of 235 pounds
Fantasy Take:
Leonard is a versatile back who is expected to be a change of pace type of guy in the team's offense. His fantasy value is limited but he could surprise with an improved line & healthy Marc Bulger.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers extended FB B.J. Askew's contract for five years, $7.6 million contract. The deal includes a $2 million signing bonus. Askew can make another $1 million in performance and Pro Bowl escalators. Askew was a Pro Bowl alternate in 2007.
Fantasy Take:
The former Michigan Wolverine has always wanted to play tailback in the NFL, but he didn't get a carry last year. He's unlikely to have any fantasy this year or ever.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Oakland Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell "looks slim" at the first day of media access to OTAs. Russell says he's at 269 pounds, and was never close to the reported 300 pounds that offseason rumors had him weighing. Last year's No. 1 overall...
Fantasy Take:
What matters most is Russel's conditioning and physical strength, if both of those are good, then its great that he's nearly 270 pounds.
LaMont Jordan likely will be released in the next month or so as the Raiders have too much depth at the position.

The Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson says he anticipates catching more than the 19 passes he caught as a rookie in 2008. Simply because he will get more playing time, Peterson should have no problem catching 25-30 balls.
Fantasy Take:
Chester Taylor likely will remain the Vikes' top option on third downs but Peterson should still be a top 3 RB selection in '08 fantasy drafts.

The Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams showed up to offseason workouts in "tip-top shape" and indicated he thinks the team will use a committee at running back this season. Williams says he turned down Cedric Benson's invitation to join him for a recent Lake Travis boating trip. In...
Fantasy Take:
If this is true, and we have NO reason to believe its not, it would increase the value of Ricky Williams to a below average #3 fantasy back and reduce the value of Ronnie Brown to that of a below average #2 or above average #3 fantasy back.
You have to hate those RBBC situations :(

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Earnest Graham remains a no-show for voluntary OTAs.
Graham, like disgruntled quarterback Jeff Garcia, is seeking a contract extension. Coming off a career year, Graham seems to want to cash in with a new contract.
Fantasy Take:
Graham has only carried the ball for a single year, so Bucs management probably wants to see him do it one more year.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Cadillac Williams (torn patellar tendon) "remains a long way from gaining medical clearance to take the field." The Bucs will have to decide prior to July's training camp whether to put Williams on the PUP list.
Fantasy Take:
Cadillac could be activated at any time during training camp however its beginning to look like he maybe out for much, if not all, the '08 season. This increases the value of Earnest Graham and Warrick Dunn who will likely share time.

The Atlanta Falcons plan to have a "running offense" under new coordinator Mike Mularkey, according to ESPN's John Clayton. Mularkey will almost certainly throw less, meaning only one or at most two receivers will have any fantasy value. Michael Turner is a strong bet for 300...
Fantasy Take:
Expect Turner to be a solid #2 fantasy back with Norwood having the potential to be a good spot starter or #3 type in certain matchups.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Chris Perry reportedly looked "smooth and quick" during Tuesday's OTA. It was the first time Perry had been on the field since November 2006, and he reportedly made a number of nice one-handed catches.
Fantasy Take:
The Bengals are counting on him to stay healthy and he could assume a role similar to the one that made him a PPR option in 2005. The key for Perry though is his health, he's not made it thru an entire season yet in his short career.

Tennessee Titans RB LenDale White revealed Tuesday that he played all of the 2007 season with a torn meniscus. The meniscus is cartilage in the knee that ensures weight is distributed evenly, and is the reason White suffered pain in the joint all season. He underwent arthroscopic surgery on his...
Fantasy Take:
You can knock White for his weight, but there was no denying his toughness throughout last season. His fantasy value took a little hit with the draft selection of 1st round pick Chris Johnson but he still is the short yardage guy in Tennessee.
