What about Kevin Smith?

Comment: Nice overview but I think Kevin Smith (Detroit) deserves to be on the list as he's accomplished, playing in the same system with similar terminology and for a offensive coordinator who not only is buddies with his college coach but has publicly proclaimed that they will institute a run focused attack. Given that his only competition is Tatum Bell, I think Smith is right behind Forte as the rookie's most likely to start week 1.
Overall a good list though....

Comment: I think you're on to something here...but the great backs, the truly GREAT ones are able to sustain greatness thru injuries like these so the question will remain until LT shows he's still great at the beginning of next year.

Comment: fantasy leaguers often forget that its the best overall lineup, not those who have the studs. In fact in my experience the teams with the best player don't win it all if they don't round out their lineup with 'tweeners'.

Comment: but the rest are no brainer's...and the #1 disappointment is a good call....somebody everybody forgot and assumed would only be a role player w/ Brady & co.

Comment: Kellen Clemens & David Garrard and agree with you on Ron Dayne, he's always shown flashes but never really can sustain.

Kevin Walter is a nice call

Comment: he's under rated right now and flying under the radar. Until Andre Johnson returns, he's putting up near #1 fantasy WR numbers.

Comment: Larry Fitzgerald, not Johnson. Johnson is a not a top 5 fantasy back right now but he could explode at any time - maybe this week?

You've got to expect Leftwich to start..
Posted: 310 days 5 hours 49 minutes ago | This is: Offensive
Comment: with only Joey Harrington & Chris Redman on the roster today. I bet it will take 2 to 3 weeks to get Leftwich up to speed but once he has a basic grasp of the playbook, he'll be starting.
