McFadden should be the man...
Posted: 686 days 14 hours 28 minutes ago | This is: Offensive
Comment: he showed talent at the start of the season and the Raiders are paying him like a top 5 RB, so it doesn't make any sense to have him be your change of pace guy. They should run the wildcat (or Arkansas) formation at least 5 times a game with him, give him at least 2 or 3 screens a game and another 8 to 10 standard runs for a total of 15+ touches each week. Anything less and the coaching staff is doing a poor job of getting their most talented offensive player into the game plan.

Chris Johnson looks like the real deal!

Comment: I think you meant to say sit RB Chris Perry (Cincinnati).

looks like we'll have to wait until week 3 to see...

Comment: but the news out of Baltimore appears to say the same thing, that Ray Rice, Willis McGahee and maybe even LeRon McClain are going to share the load this year.

I like their '07 1st rounder - Robert Meachem

Comment: who looked dominant at times this pre-season and needs to step up. Also look for TE Jeremy Shockey to get more looks in the offense.

Vernon Davis is far from a sleeper...
Posted: 762 days 12 hours 20 minutes ago | This is: Offensive
Comment: I disagree with the Vernon Davis call. People forget that Mike Martz doesn't know how to use a TE, can you name a single TE that has thrived in Martz' system? You can't because there have been none. There will be plenty of reports that say Davis will be featured but the reality is when the games start, he'll be noticeably absent.

Jerious Norwood baby!
Posted: 763 days 9 hours 30 minutes ago | This is: Offensive
Comment: I personally like Jerious Norwood who I believe is the most underrated RB in the NFL. The new coaching staff will realize that he's the real deal and start giving him 50% of the carries at some point this year.

What about Kevin Smith?
Posted: 800 days 13 hours 5 minutes ago | This is: Offensive
Comment: Nice overview but I think Kevin Smith (Detroit) deserves to be on the list as he's accomplished, playing in the same system with similar terminology and for a offensive coordinator who not only is buddies with his college coach but has publicly proclaimed that they will institute a run focused attack. Given that his only competition is Tatum Bell, I think Smith is right behind Forte as the rookie's most likely to start week 1.
Overall a good list though....

Comment: I think you're on to something here...but the great backs, the truly GREAT ones are able to sustain greatness thru injuries like these so the question will remain until LT shows he's still great at the beginning of next year.

Comment: fantasy leaguers often forget that its the best overall lineup, not those who have the studs. In fact in my experience the teams with the best player don't win it all if they don't round out their lineup with 'tweeners'.

I don't agree with Maurice Jones-Drew

Comment: but the rest are no brainer's...and the #1 disappointment is a good call....somebody everybody forgot and assumed would only be a role player w/ Brady & co.
