Ray Rice

Comment: Nice but I think Ray Rice will be used more than people think. He's a power scatback with good hands, I could see 100 carries and 25 catches (playing on 3rd downs) for a total of 600 to 750 yards. He won't be a fantasy starter but he could be decent in a couple of years.

Don't expect Favre in Chicago or Minnesota...
Posted: 59 days 10 hours 36 minutes ago | This is: Offensive
Comment: Favre is a special player but at some point the circus has to end. As for a landing spot, I would be shocked if Favre ended up in Chicago or Minnesota, simply because of the competitive nature with Green Bay and the damage it would do to his legacy. Expect him to play for an AFC (if Green Bay doesn't take him back of course) team such as the NY Jets or Baltimore Ravens.

MJD has been & will continue to be the more valuable fantasy contributor...
Posted: 66 days 6 hours 30 minutes ago | This is: Offensive
Comment: Maurice Jones-Drew has been the more valuable fantasy contributor both of the past two years, so with Fragile Freddy (which maybe unfair to call him these days :) getting up there in age, I don't think this should even be a debate. The more important question is whether MJD is a top 10 fantasy back or not, FantasyIndex has him as their #8 overall guy and based on his performance the past two years seems to be a reasonable prediction. I think Fred Taylor stays healthy but he doesn't cross the 1000 total yards plateau while MJD breaks 1500 total yards and scores 12 times in 2008.

Cadillac will be back!
Posted: 67 days 11 hours 2 minutes ago | This is: Offensive
Comment: I think Cadillac is going to surprise this season, Jon Gruden is speaking about him in ways that lead me to believe he wants him on the active roster as inspiration & a sign to the rest of the team that 'he who works the hardest will be rewarded'.
My call is he starts the season on the PUP but is activated following week 6 and is an important change of pace option by the end of the season. So little fantasy value but an inspiration to the Bucs.

The guy's a 5x pro bowler...

Comment: and its calls like this that validate the 'Black QB's face more pressure' call McNabb made on HBO this week. He's not being benched this year...he's too important to the team's offense and is one of their leaders - to bench him would be to give up on the season.
This guy from Rotoworld sounds like an idiot trying to drum up some controversy two weeks into the season. I hope he's calling Drew Brees a bust too b/c he's much more so than McNabb so far this season.

or the Saints are more like their old selves...
Posted: 364 days 23 hours 37 minutes ago | This is: Offensive
Comment: Manning is one of the greats and that was evident this game. But remember the Saints defense was never expected to be good, so the surprise here was how good the Colts D looked - or was it that the Saints offense looked bad? I tend to think it was the Colts defense that is going to be better than anybody expected.

Green may have taken his last big hit last year...
Posted: 370 days 21 hours 3 minutes ago | This is: Offensive
Comment: based on preseason performance I'm not sure Trent Green will ever be the same. We'll know for sure in nine days but I wouldn't be surprised to see Cleo Lemon or the 26 year old rookie John Beck on the field this year.
